Since I have the '10 GT Convertible almost done, I decided to take the leftover parts from the snap kit and add them to the remains of the GT Coupe kit. The GT Coupe will be a curbside...no engine.

The paint is Model Master Citrus Yellow Metallic No. 28101.

The body has been painted and will be clearcoated with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clear and polished after decals have been applied.

Thanks guys! I wasn't so keen on the color until i clearcoated it...boy what a difference that made! The stripes really add to the color and once I get the trim painted, it should look outstanding.

Thanks John! It means a lot to me when I hear from the master builders and it inspires me to try better!

This morning I did a mockup of the chassis with the body, wheels, tires, brakes, and metal axles to see how it sits. In my eyes, it is sitting right where it should. Not too high or too low.

I painted the interior floor pan with flat black paint. I recently bought some embossing power to try as carpet.

The rest of the interior pieces where painted with satin black.

Looking good Mike!

I do't know why but when I look at your last mock up pic it just screams to me V6 powered! lol!

Yeah, that could be due to the lack of exterior badging and the fact that I haven't finished working on the body yet. If I had taken the picture at a little higher angle, you would have seen the GT stripes on the hood roof and rear deck. That might scream GT V-8!! ;)

Wow Mike. Gonna have to get some of that Citrus Yellow. I never would have guessed from the stripe on the can that it would be that shade of green. Just what I'm looking for. Your build is looking good too.

Thanks Dirk and Tom! I haven't had much of a chance to work on the GT Coupe this week, but the weekend is here and the forecast is calling for rain. I won't be doing much work outside this weekend! :o

My '10 Mustang GT Coupe is finished and posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who took the time to view and to comment on my WIP.
