John Pol Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Hi all hope someone knows the best way to ship a built model with no damage. Any help would be great. John
John Pol Posted April 10, 2012 Author Posted April 10, 2012 do you wrap the model in the bubble wrap? John
JamesW Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Iwould wrap it in tissue paper THEN bubble wrap. Put it in a box of equivilent size, then dead center of a larger box surrounded by peanuts.

Great advice, but be aware. If you are going to ship this all bets are off. Murphy's Law laughs at this situation.
sports850 Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Do you guy's have the aerosol cans of expanding foam up there ? I received a model that had been wrapped in tissue , then thin foam and put in a bag . Then the expanding foam was sprayed into a box and the model sat in it , then a bit of glad wrap (plastic kitchen film) over the top and more expanding foam over that . When it got here I just cut the box apart , lifted the top half of the foam off and took the model out , it worked brilliantly and I thought worth the extra effort as it was a very fragile and detailed model .
