Mirage Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Hi, can anyone recommend a good website to find out about all the new releases? The Revell official site is terrible. Thanks in advance for any advice!
Dr. Cranky Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I tend to use only one, and a good one at that: http://www.modelroundup.com/
JamesW Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Tower Hobbies is pretty good too. I put in my preorder for a Prostar and 2 Great Danes.
george 53 Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I'm with the Doc on this one. Jack, overt Model Round-Up has NEVER let me down, plus, he's a nice guy to talk with, VERY knowledgeable!!!
Mirage Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 That's what I love about this site. Ask a question and get several quality answers back! Thanks to all of you.
Fat Brian Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I hate to say it, but for new releases it's hard to beat Amazon. Some things even qualify for free shipping if they are over $25. I've boungt a lot of stuff from model roundup but if you're really looking for bottom dollar it's worth it to check Amazon too.
Ben Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 I use Tower Hobbies for my "bulk" purchases. I joined their "Super Saver Club" and get free shipping on any order over 150.00. Also, Tower will usually match anyone else's advertised price as long as that other place has the product in stock. You do have to ask before ordering though. I have literally saved hundreds of dollars using them! For single kits, you just have to shop around all the known, online sites that sell models for the best price with shipping.
