Junkman Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I find it looks a tad tacked on on the Mustangs. The design would be much more integral, if they'd moved the B-pillar forward to the door opening, then used a single pane of glass for the rear side window.
Qwit Pushin Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 I was in a "wagon phase"... I'd have purchased one of your Charger wagons before I'd have plunked down money for a Magnum wagon. Nice idea!!
Jon Cole Posted April 12, 2012 Posted April 12, 2012 That yellow "big wheels" Mustang made me cringe!
Kris Morgan Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 For anyone interested, We will be casting a resin 66 Stang wagon soon. It will include the body and, interior tub. The AMT 66 will be the donor.

If you took the pickup style and made it into a wagon it would look killer, it would really flow a lot better.
mikelo Posted April 14, 2012 Posted April 14, 2012 Funny this came up. I started on one when this kit first came out. I grafted on a Dodge Caravan roof I cast out of bondo onto the back. Lost intrest, and I couldn't figure out how to lighten it, so it still sits like this. Glad I could find it. Mike

The stance you have it at right now is perfect with those wheels. You did a really nice job with the cast, you need to finish that thing man
Junkman Posted April 15, 2012 Posted April 15, 2012 What do you mean 'lighten it'? That thing is 100 proof! Put a white surfboard with two blue metallic stripes on the roof and whooshbonk!
mikelo Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 Sorry, I meant literally. There is over 2lbs of bondo on the body. I tried to hollow it out, but without much luck. Could account for the low stance. Mike

GrandpaMcGurk Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 And speaking of ugly Mustangs Rob...I can deal with most everything else in this thread....but this is wrong on soooo many levels it just plain hurts my face to look at it!
Zarana-X Posted April 16, 2012 Posted April 16, 2012 (edited) Matchbox made a Mustang van (cough, wagon) in the 70's I have one, http://www.carsandtr...hbox/mb34f4.jpg Edited April 16, 2012 by Zarana-X

Unfortunately it's become quite the trend here in Tampa. Camaros, Firebirds, Mustangs, Tbirds, mostly 90's models that can be gotten cheaply. Its not really a donk because they arent really having to mod the suspension much. Its just "how much can I stuff in the wheel well." They apparently ride badly to seeing how they need stiffer springs to avoid having too much suspension travel on top of rubber band tires. Silly really. I dont see this style lasting. Hopefully.
