Terry Sumner Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 This is the fairing to my oldest son's Harley Davidson Street Glide. Silver base for the flames....House of Kolor Kandy Tangerine over the stock Harley Charcoal Black. Gave the whole bike a kind of Burnt orange color. Man I wish I could lay out flames like this in 1/25th scale! Hosted on Fotki Here's all 15 parts out in the sun baking since I don't have a heated booth! Looks like a bike parts garden! Wagoneer81 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 You are a man of MANY talents! Absolutely beautiful!
Terry Sumner Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Oops...forgot...this was a cooperative effort by my youngest son and me this time. TJ did a lot of this with me just kind of guiding along. Gotta give credit where credit is due! I'm very proud of him!
Dragline Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Not much for baggers but those came out nice. Bob
Dr. Cranky Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Beautiful work, Terry. I love the color, and the shine is perfect too.
crazyjim Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 YES!! Want to do some painting on my Wide Glide?
Terry Sumner Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 Bob...one thing about baggers is that they give you a lot of surface area to throw paint onto! Cranky...wait till these suckers have been wet sanded and buffed out. THEN they'll have some shine! Jim...sure but you're 1500 miles away! LOL Thanks guys... love doing this kind of stuff! Just wish I could do it like this in scale...
