surfjunke Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I originally built this Panel for a client back in 2001. I found what was left of it on EBay this past winter & I won the auction. I could not beleive my luck. After receiving it, I took it appart, stripped the paint & fixed the damage. Both A pillars were gone, a huge chunk was broken from the driver's side rear fender, which was included. There were some other smaller gouges & a few dents. The paint had quite a few cracks in it. The first few pics were taken when I orignally built the panel. They were taken with my old Nikon film camera, the prints were trimmed & put them in a portfolio. I took digital pics of those prints. That is why the picture quality is not that good, sorry about that. The body had the back part of the roof & trunk areas removed & the interior was ground out for an interior. The scratch interior for the panel. The finished panel. After the repairs, I desided to also slightly modify the panel. I opened up the side windows, rescribed new door lines & added the rear spoiler. I changed the wheels that will also get disc brakes from Pegasus. I am still thinking about the color. I am leaning torwards a 50's aqua/sea foam with some added pearl. I am leaving the interior as it was originally built & painted.
John Teresi Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Scott......WOW,what luck......sure is cool looking build......secound time around is always better.
Jantrix Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Amazing, I built two models years ago for a couple of local car owners. Neither lasted two months in the hands of their new owners. Did you ask the seller what happened to it? Looks great now. Looking foward to seeing it completed.
Jon Cole Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Way nice build, Scott. It's not often a build gets a second chance!
