Jon Cole Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 To change photo size, click "Go to" Then scroll down to "My account", and click it. On the right side of the page that appears, note your current photo size. Click "Change" @ right. Find "Photo view size". Click arrow box to the right. A list of choices will appear (not shown). I suggest 800 x 800. This will make your pics appear on the larger size, but not so big that you cannot see from one edge to the other. For those with smaller monitors or notebooks, this could be a real advantage.
Draggon Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 Hmmm, it only worked on one of my albums, all the others are still small........
Jon Cole Posted May 1, 2012 Author Posted May 1, 2012 Never resize ANY original, make a copy and then put into JPEG land and make tiny. Fotki is not resizing the photos, afaik. Only the view size is being altered. Although I don't understand why you are concerned about the "original". The photo is uploaded to a photo host site. The subscriber can control what size appears.
deja-view Posted May 1, 2012 Posted May 1, 2012 I just found out about this a couple days ago and changed mine from 500X500 to 700X700. It makes a big, BIG difference in how much detail viewers can see. The downside is that it takes longer to load each pic and scroll through an album.
deja-view Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Most of us store orig photos on a CD /DVD or a hard drive....I keep all backups on my bucket...I can adjust size on a copy to post...So as I stated... Right. Always store on your own drives, but Fotki is one way to get your pics up on forums. FYI: They use 2 servers to insure safer storage. So far, I like their flexibility once you learn how to use it.
Jon Cole Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Most of us store orig photos on a CD /DVD or a hard drive....I keep all backups on my bucket...I can adjust size on a copy to post...So as I stated... Ah ha! Now I see where you're coming from. But at a current Fotki collection of 87,841 photos, that would be a lot more work than I already have invested in my albums. Edited May 2, 2012 by Jon Cole
