Casey Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 I wonder how he hot that dent in the upper part of the quarter panel? I think that's a reflection...which means nice bodywork and black paint.

Mooneyzs Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Terry from flash point makes some nice products. The tire that you like is what I am using on my Army funny car build. I believe they are like 12 to 14 bucks a pair
camarofan Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Love where this is going, are you making it turbo? I'm not sure yet but it is an Idea
camarofan Posted May 14, 2012 Author Posted May 14, 2012 Here's a pic of the 4 link lined up in the car
eviltwincustoms Posted May 14, 2012 Posted May 14, 2012 Dalton, you may want to really use this link that Robert posted for your 10.5 build. Based on the pictures that I looked at in the link below, the chassis in the back doesn't loop up and over. It should be more based off of a Pro Mod style rear section with a stock section from the firewall forward. Have you reached out to Robert for some input on the best way to get started on this daunting project? He is a wealth of knowledge and it sounds like he is open to help anyone out in their venture! http://www.skinnykidracecars.com/gallery/Steve+Nodiff/

eviltwincustoms Posted May 15, 2012 Posted May 15, 2012 So are you putting this old style centerline wheel on a 10.5 car or a different build?

Mooneyzs Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Dalton... I was going to suggest getting some turned aluminum wheels from Jim... aka Micro Nitro. he does some great work and those are the same exact rims I am using on my Funny Car build. Jim is also a great guy and stands behind his work. I say got for the aluminum rims
camarofan Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 does anyone no were i can buy a 1/16 scale split dominator engine?
camarofan Posted May 17, 2012 Author Posted May 17, 2012 here is the wheel im going to order from jim at mirco nitro hope u guys like them
Mooneyzs Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Dalton... if you take a look at Dave's (Comp1839) 1/8th scale pro Mod Camaro Build over in the Big boys section. He was working on some Dominator's and Split Dominator carbs that he was machining but I believe he was going to get Tim at TDR the prints and they should be offering them in there line up soon. You will be able to get them from 1/8th scale all the way down to 1/25 maybe even 1/43rd. Dave or someone correct me if I am wrong on this. Also if you are not familiar with TDR, they are a company that offers parts for modelers which they draw up with a 3D CAD system and they work with shapeways which is a company that prints these part with a rapid proto-type machine (basically its a 3D printer) the parts are very accurate and TDR does some nice work too. I have purchased some parts and want to buy more from them.
gasser59 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Daltono - those wheels look killer. Jim does some fantastic work. Highly recommend.
camarofan Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 Does anyone have a spare set of 1/16 scale drag tires?
