I'm trying to figure out what kind of putty I should be using for body modifications. I've finally gotten enough experience that I decided I would try doing a chop top and am baffled as to what to use for putty. I'm sorry if this is already been discussed. I browse the forums alot and have never seen anyone talk about a specific brand of putty.

Thanks!

The best is a two-part auto putty. Next, a one part auto putty for thin coatings where shrinkage won't be a problem.

The best putty I have found is the PROFESSIONAL Glazing and Spot Putty made by Bondo, part number 801. It is a two part putty and it comes in a tube.

This is not the same as their Glazing and Spot Putty that doesn't say Professional.

It is also much better than just plain old Bondo that comes in the can. It is lighter and sands easier than plain Bondo, and the edges feather very well for a nice smooth transition.

It's the only stuff I use now.
