The Solor Cup ran this weekend. This is a shot looking down in the lagoon. post-3829-0-50612800-1337614790_thumb.jp

This is just a small portion of the pits.

I was a little disapointed they did'nt have any Grand prix running, but they had alot more super stocks then I remember the last few years.

guess I'll just have to wait till the Big Boys run on the columbia...darn

I'm looking forward to October. Summer is miserable here. But I am looking forward to my out-of-town trips this Spring/Summer (Indy 500, Rolex Monterey Historics, etc).

Well there's only a week or so left in Autmn here but I was still watching bikini's at the beach on the weekend ... Mean's that it's still good painting weather too of course ;)

I love the summer for all the uninterrupted painting time . . . crisp, bright days painting in the sun! B)

During the middle part of the summer, or the hottest, its almost to hot to paint during the day, I find that i need to wait tell after the sun goes down to be able to get a good paint job.

I dont think people realize just how miserable the summers can be here, put it this way, the temp right now is 106 , and its only may :o:angry:

Insane how warm it is this week...warmest May I've seen in the 5 years I've been here.

My Father in law lives in Phoenix (Near Blackhawk Frwy & Bell Run) and he always taunts me & his Daughter in the winter about how nice it is there. Now we taunt him about living on the face of the sun and we remind him about all the cruises we attend (He has a `49 MG and a `67 Healey. He's way-cool) while he has to wait until the lava cools.

It's all in good fun. But we DO owe him a visit `.... th_panic.gif

I think you mean Black Cayon freeway (I-17) and Bell road ;):D

Castles & Coasters is along side IIRC. I drove up to mall north of Phoenix and thought it was Blackhawk. It's been a while

Haha Scottsdale is for the Snobbs, its funny, for the most part, if you live in the valley, and not in Scottsdale, you stay out of Scottsdale, only people that live in Scottsdale like it for most part. It has or had a great night life scene, you know the places where it cost $20 for a drink

I like Scottsdale..there are a lot of restaurants over there that I like..and the Pavillions for car shows, etc...worked at Scottsdale Rd and Camelback for 6 months last year at a client in an underground office... was a nice short commute..

You are right about the restaurants, there a lot of nice ones in Scottsdale, in all honesty, the main reason why I dont like Scottsdale is the way the streets are laid out, Scottsdale does not for the most part follow Phoenix with grid layout of the streets, I always get confused on what streets go where. I know Shea, Shea takes you to the Beeline , to go to the casino in Payson

Speaking of Scottsdale area restaurants.... Is Pinacle Peak stiff one of "the" places for a Steak? Like I said, it's been a while.

I am not sure to be honest

It's still around, pretty good.... my favorite steakhouse in Scottsdale is Mastro's City Hall...
