It's not the most accurate kit, but it's a starting point for a lot of work. I picked one up a few years ago to use the body for a Funny Car project, and the body was the best part...but still not all that great.

I had that kit when new many years ago. It really left much to be desired. As I recall I never even finished it because it was so toy like.

I'm glad I didn't pay that much for the one I got! Haven't built it yet, but have visions of doing a Mustang II pro stocker some day in that scale. That's what I keep telling myself, anyway... LOL

Got those rare kits back then...

Back in the late 70's Japanese kit maker : NITTO, made 3 Mustang II kits in 1/16 scale, boxed in NITTO & US Entex boxes, all 3 could be "motorized" & have working headlights, true that the design & accuracy of many partsis not perfect but still the only 1/16 plastic kits of the II:

-'74 MACH1 Hatchback

-'75 GHIA Coupe

-'76 Cobra II (also available in ENTEX box)

Pretty rare stuff!!! All 3 kits totally vanished, since the 80's!!!

Strange that the Cobra is shown with red stripes on top and blue on the sides, the real car would have had all one or all the other. The II's weren't so bad, other than the motorized chassis and assorted other toy parts, but the proportioning on the '67 convertible body was atrocious.

Are these kits valuable? I have one and was wondering it's value? TIA, Coop

Look on eBay to see what they've sold for via the "completed items" tab.
