bryan_m Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 (edited) my girl got me this kit the other day, and im really fired up about it. ive never had one of these and it looks like a really great kit. i spent some time gathering reference pics, and now im gathering parts from a few other kits...... first up, i snagged the 454 from the "boyds hauler" kit.....dechromed everything. thinkin about how tough it will be to use the suspension from the same kit, im sure the rear will work, but the front is a different story, i dont want to hack the front crossmember out the kit frame, so i might need another idea.... more to come, thanks for lookin guys! bryan Edited May 24, 2012 by bryan_m
Brendan30 Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 that looks like a great kit, Cranky has a video on it in another thread.

Seattle Mike Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Bryan, that is not a 454 Chevy - it is a 350 small block. This will be a great project - it is a great kit. Have fun with it!
bryan_m Posted May 23, 2012 Author Posted May 23, 2012 hmmm, i thought it was a big block! duh! LOL.. either way im using it. more progress comin later thanks guys bryan

Ken#5fan Posted May 24, 2012 Posted May 24, 2012 (edited) If i might suggest. I had a 1:1 '47 Aerosedan. The frame was the same as the Sedan Delivery. Pick you up a copy of Street Rodder mag and scratch build you a Mustang II front suspension. Edited May 24, 2012 by Ken#5fan
bryan_m Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 or a nova front clip could work too.........now you got me thinkin! cheers bryan
bryan_m Posted May 24, 2012 Author Posted May 24, 2012 got the engine and trans in primer, drilled out for pumbing/wiring too.... mudded up a couple sink marks in the frame. im movin kinda slow this mornin, stay tuned more to come! bryan

bryan_m Posted May 25, 2012 Author Posted May 25, 2012 engine meets tranny, and it fits nice in the engine bay...... just a little tweaking and it will fit in there nice, and if it doesnt ill have another complete engine to add to the collection! LOL nah, it will fit in there nice... i found a nice electric waterpump in my stash of engine parts, this engine came with fuel injection (mpi) im not using it tho, gonna go with a good old holly carb and intake, and maybe a caddy air cleaner to top it off.........ill make it removable... more to come thanks for lookin bryan
