Alteratives and Options on starting a project..

Anyone ever look at Hess trucks, or Texaco trucks. Or other vechiles to start a project.

Ever see a toy in the kids play box, and think, I can do something with that now..

Like to see some models that start life as something else, no a model in a box... Thanks

A member was modifying a Tonka(?) pressed steel truck in the OTW section, so you might try a search there to pull it up. I have seen a few others here, too, but not too many.

I think I also saw a member from Europe (Netherlands, possibly) who was working on a green big rig type project here.

Models are where you find them. I'm always looking in the toy department for cars to provide tires, bodies, or both, or to use as a starting point. I've seen several pressed steel toys turned into nice replicas.
