kitbash1 Posted June 10, 2012 Posted June 10, 2012 ..... I just took a part-time job washing dishes at 1 of the 2 restaurants in town. after nearly 30 yrs. as a masonry construction heavy equipment operator & 2 back to back on the job injuries, I can say: The pickings are slim. Around here anyway. I feel your pain & good luck in your search! Thanks for the support guy's. Not alot of employers wanting to hire people over the age of 50 these days. I'm willing to take any kind of job, but once they see my resume I get the " your over qualified for this job" line. But I still keep looking.

Wayne's World Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 World peace...and the Revell 1/12 Shelby. Heck, I printed the product description and a 40% off coupon from the Hobby Lobby website. I put them with the 50 bucks I pay my son for mowing my grass every other week, along with an extra 20. Dang...I might as well buy it for myself, but I keep hoping he'll get the message. Maybe I'll forget his next birthday, or car tag, or insurance payment. (Nah, then I'll have to bail his arse out of jail). Oh well...
Agent G Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Tasca's new release M32B1, and their M4A1 Late. and world peace, and a sammich. G
Mercman Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Samething I got for my birthday a homemade card from my kids. They are 34 and 24, and both great artists in their own right. I would prefer this to a store bought card. Also I have just about everything I need, and if I don't I by it myself.
Darin Bastedo Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I have a healthy, smart, beautiful, talented and loving daughter. What else could I possibly want for father's day?
charlie8575 Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 Well, my parents, if all goes well, will be getting their wish for the last couple of years, and me moving out again... Come to think of it, that's kinda my wish, too. Charlie Larkin
Harry P. Posted June 11, 2012 Posted June 11, 2012 I managed to raise three kids as a single parent... got through those rough waters (their teenage years) relatively ok... no permanent damage to either me or any of my three stooges... So now that they're all grown up, out of the house, and paying their own bills (yay!)... I look forward to taking every Father's Day off!
