forthlin Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 After setting in a closet for 14 years I thought it was time to put this Poncho together.
Kustom Rodder Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Love the color combo looks really really good nice job.
H.A.K Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Man thats a nice 55 you got there. I used to have a 56......So I know a thing or 2 about them pontiac's. Very nice.
rmvw guy Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 Nice looking Poncho and stock! This has to be a resin body because I've never seen one. Nice job!
forthlin Posted June 14, 2012 Author Posted June 14, 2012 Nice looking Poncho and stock! This has to be a resin body because I've never seen one. Nice job! No resin. This is a plastic promo. I had to buy a resin interior for it.
Guest Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 That is really sweet! What is the spot on the right rear fender>
62rebel Posted June 14, 2012 Posted June 14, 2012 very nice looking build, and nice to see something without a set of 22's on it slammed to the ground.
Grumpa Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 I love these big ol' mid fifties Pontiacs, Buicks and Oldsmobiles. The JoHan Pontiacs are a great starting point, and you've done a nice job on this one. The color combo looks great!
Sixties Sam Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Great model of an unusual subject. I like the color scheme. Sam
MyBradKeselowski Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Great looking Pontiac, I like the color combo...
forthlin Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 Did you put an engine in it? Looks fantastic! No. I left it a curbside
camaroman Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) very nice looking build, and nice to see something without a set of 22's on it slammed to the ground. It looks great, but I could help but wonder how it would look on 20's and lowered... Different stroke I guess, but I love it!! BTW what shade of green is that? It appears to be the same color my Dad's '55 Chevy was for all of it's life until recently ... Sherwood Green! Edited June 15, 2012 by camaroman
62rebel Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 IMHO it would then look like 4,000 other slammed kits. they blur together in my perception.

The light color is Diamond Green & Mystic Emerald is the dark green. Both are Testors lacquer. My Wife picks out the colors most of the time.
forthlin Posted June 15, 2012 Author Posted June 15, 2012 That is really sweet! What is the spot on the right rear fender> The gold spot is an emblem. I'm not sure about the depression behind it. I checked The model & it doesn't have one, so I'm guessing it's a shadow or the angle I took the picture.
Harold Posted June 15, 2012 Posted June 15, 2012 Really sweet Poncho. That color combo is pure fifties. Nice.
deathskull59 Posted June 17, 2012 Posted June 17, 2012 finally an old classic with out the big ghetto rims and the modern look. looks very good ive even see a coaple of real 55 pontiack star chifes before. driven into a hot shop here.
