vintagestang Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I took the MPC General Lee kit. Added side pipes. Cut the doors and trunk out. Added wheels from the '69 Shelby GT500. And got this. A '69 Charger dirt car. Added a bottle jack and a spare tire and relocated the battery to the trunk.
martinfan5 Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 Well least its not a GL , thats different , thats for sure
Scuderia Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 The detail on the kit is so bland, they make great hackemups lol. Your dirt track weekend racer is nice. I like the trunk details too good thinking.
vintagestang Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks. That's the only thing I could think of to do with this kit.
TooOld Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 You put a lot of effort and imagination into this build . Good Job ! And , look at that ! There is something in the trunk ! Very nice .
vintagestang Posted June 20, 2012 Author Posted June 20, 2012 Thanks. It was supposed to be moderately weathered.
High octane Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 There's nothing like the aroma of good 'ol exhaust fumes.
Austin T Posted June 20, 2012 Posted June 20, 2012 I think this is the use of a GL kit Danno will approve of,I kinda like the idea of it,reminds me of an old video game called "Flat Out".

Well, actually, you're right! I do approve!! This is probably as good a build of a General Lee as we've ever seen on this forum. And that's no bull. Stay with us, Patrick. You'll go a long way. You've gotten off to a good start, young man. Edited June 20, 2012 by Danno
