This is diecast Ertl farm trailer from the 70's. I didn't get a photo before I took the farm type tires off of it.

Thanks,

First sorry about the blurry photo, it's the only one I have before it was painted.

Good Job with the Trailer! Very nice and clean one. Can't wait to see it completed. ;) I guess it didn't have any fenders originally?

I made a Class 3 brass hitch for the truck (well, actually a Dodge :P ). I can post that build if anyone is interested.

Thanks for following along.

I use a Butane type mini torch, availble at most hardwares, Lowes and some hobby stores. The key is cleaning the joint area, I use steel wool. You want to make sure not to touch your cleaned area, oil from you finger will cause a poor joint.

May I ask what kind of solder do you use also please, is it the same stuff you use for wiring...

Sorry for the dumb question's...

Those are all good questions.

You can use solder for wiring or for a little stronger joint go with solder for plumbing. Google "How To Solder Brass" and you should get everything you need to know including U-tube videos on soldering.

Get some and start having fun.

When I solder brass I use a silver solder. You can get it at Radio Shack.
