foxbat426 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 This is my third build. My plan was to paint the badge after painting and clearcoating, but the badge was slowly disappearing under the layers. I have not clear coated yet. I exposed the GTO badges on either side by masking it off and then slowly sanding away the paint to expose the badge. In retrospect i wish I had foiled underneath. I'm going to keep this badge white for this build, but now I know how to handle the badges for future builds (i Think!)
foxbat426 Posted June 24, 2012 Author Posted June 24, 2012 artful - is it too late to do that? i haven't cleared yet. what do you use to scribe them? john
Steven2 Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 Good call to leave them as are. I know I would never get them to look sharper then they are now.
my80malibu Posted June 24, 2012 Posted June 24, 2012 (edited) I would dry brush the Emblems with silver paint " I prefer the testors laquer" don't bother the panels because that will be more trouble. Edited June 24, 2012 by my80malibu
