Toni L. Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 This is one of working on the project. The idea was to strap a supercharger model, but plans changed along the way. The starting point was again consigned to the dustbin into the socket. Starting point. And then the more recent images. More to follow. And thanks for watching.
Bartster Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 Just got 2 cool resin turbos from sstacey47. Show me what to do with them!
bryan_m Posted June 29, 2012 Posted June 29, 2012 very cool! nice work cutting off the front clip, and the turbos look great. cheers bryan
Toni L. Posted July 7, 2012 Author Posted July 7, 2012 Little progress has been made, and now I should feel to arbitrate all parts in place, both to find each lead and hose locations.
boatsnhoes1212 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 awesome chevelle man...... im building a twin turbo setup also do you know what size rod is used for the turbo and do you have any pic from the side so i can get an idea.
Toni L. Posted July 8, 2012 Author Posted July 8, 2012 awesome chevelle man...... im building a twin turbo setup also do you know what size rod is used for the turbo and do you have any pic from the side so i can get an idea. I use this 2 mm (would it be about 0.07874 inches in? ) thick plastic rod. Turbos have also made the same good, but the exhaust turbocharger is then milled Compression slightly less than half. Not a single good page file does not seem to have any, otherwise would have put it up here. But while a minor update to this project. Rear shocks were able to work under. On the left, a series of its own pristine, and the right small change experienced shock absorber.
boatsnhoes1212 Posted July 8, 2012 Posted July 8, 2012 (edited) thanks.....so 0.80 would work.Im new here and getting back into models now. ive never customized any just built them stock/out of the box. shocks look great Edited July 8, 2012 by boatsnhoes1212
Toni L. Posted July 14, 2012 Author Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) Now I got a blow-off valves painted, and test the made-up place. Some fine-tuning, and even then they too may have already fixed in place. Edited July 14, 2012 by Toni L.
boatsnhoes1212 Posted July 14, 2012 Posted July 14, 2012 (edited) the BOV'S and the intercooler pipeing look awesome...so much detail i love this build Edited July 14, 2012 by boatsnhoes1212
Toni L. Posted July 15, 2012 Author Posted July 15, 2012 the BOV'S and the intercooler pipeing look awesome...so much detail i love this build Thanks. I tried to put some of these wires in place. And oil dipsticks had to do over there.
W-409 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 Getting better with each update! Now I can follow your steps when detailing my TwinTurbo Chevelle engine, even if it's not going to be this high quality. Great job.
kobuzz Posted July 22, 2012 Posted July 22, 2012 Looks awesome!! What gauge wire are you using for the alternator and wiring harness?
Toni L. Posted July 22, 2012 Author Posted July 22, 2012 Looks awesome!! What gauge wire are you using for the alternator and wiring harness? Those are the Detail Master wire. If, on the other hand will continue this project with the turbo. I had to make between the '67 El Camino as a model for therapy.
Toni L. Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 While some progress with this. The machine starts to be nearing its end. Then, get the front axle attacked. And here are two reasons why this Turbo Chevelle will be completed as slowly
rustybill1960 Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 I like "IT" I like it alot Man!! Super!! Thank You for sharing Later Russ
blunc Posted August 3, 2012 Posted August 3, 2012 (edited) Looks awesome!! What gauge wire are you using for the alternator and wiring harness? I wasn't sure if your question was actually answered....but I do have a tip regarding source of wires. old motors/armatures from slot cars and/or dead cd/dvd/floppy drives use wires of similar gauge and if you have any dead electronics or have access to scrap electronics or motorized toys then you have a great source of free wires in various sizes and colors. the master cylinder brake lines on this model came from a dead HO slot car armature and the sparkplug wires came from a larger motor armature (by the way...this is 1/32 scale): Edited August 4, 2012 by blunc
