Scale-Master Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Another old small scale resin kit. The base blue is on and most of the black is painted in the recessed areas, next step is decals. This is the Gulf scheme.
MrObsessive Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 Mark, that paint looks great on that little car! What shade of blue is that for the '69 Gulf cars? I'd like to find something similar someday for a resin build.
TooOld Posted July 10, 2012 Posted July 10, 2012 That body looks excellent . The Gulf paint scheme is the best looking of all the GT-40's . Can't wait to see this one finished .

But Testors 1108 Light Blue lightened up with some white and toned down with a tiny amount of gray is what I have used before. I don't have the formula, just matched it by eye.
Scale-Master Posted July 11, 2012 Author Posted July 11, 2012 (edited) The wheels are done… And the decals are applied… And no, that is not a “big ruler”… Edited July 11, 2012 by Scale-Master
Art Laski Posted July 12, 2012 Posted July 12, 2012 So when you said "small-scale" you meant it! Looks great, as usual.
TooOld Posted July 13, 2012 Posted July 13, 2012 I was thinking it was 1/32 scale . With the ruler I'd say it's H.O. scale ( 1/87 , 1/72, or 1/64 ? ) . What's the scale and who makes it ?
