Batmobile TV special

This Monday at 8 Eastern/7 Central, the CW network will have a couple of specials on the Batmobile (as they say, check your local listings). This is a lead-up to "The Dark Knight Rises."

I have set my DVR to record this. There has always been something that captured my imagination, something primal about the batmobile. It is the end-all be-all of automotive coolness. The Burton batmobile will always be my favorite.

I was at barns and noble ( which by the way does not carry model car mag yet) and they have a pretty cool coffee table book about all the bat mobiles. Have to grab one next time.

This is the only one I didn't like (Batman Forever). I call it the Badmobile.

Evidently, others agree. It sold at auction, for less than half the estimated price, at $297,000.

I think he meant the video teaser I posted.

Anyway, the teaser looks great, and the documentary was produced by Warner Bros. and is airing on their CW network to promote the premiere of "The Dark Night Rises" (I'll be there with my daughter), so I expect it to be very cool.

I also expect Batman to die at the end of Nolan's trilogy. No big deal, since in the comics world many heroes like Superman have died in "alternate universe" story arcs, and come back to fight another day.
