01blueedge Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 this is gonna be my next project. I have always wanted to build another fairlane since its one of my favorite cars. I won a saleen mustang today in a raffle at the model show so I decided to use some parts out of it and combine them with the fairlane. The motor is gonna be the saleens turbo charged 351 and I haven't decided whether to use the saleen wheels or the torque thrust wheels. I am also gonna use a resin cowl hood that i got off of ebay. here is a pic of the mock up torque thrust wheels saleen wheels
cobraman Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 I know you didn't ask but I like the Torque Thrust better.
Kmidd65 Posted July 16, 2012 Posted July 16, 2012 BLACK!! That is going to be super sinister. Especially with that hood!
slammedi'am Posted July 17, 2012 Posted July 17, 2012 Nice...I was trying to get a cowl for one of mine and never recieved them

01blueedge Posted July 21, 2012 Author Posted July 21, 2012 I have been messing with the motor a little bit but haven't gotten any pics of the progress so I decided to take a pic of the painted body moked up on the wheels
01blueedge Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 test fitting the motor looks like I am going to have to relocate the battery to the trunk because the supercharger is sitting in the battery box.
dimebolt Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Looks pretty mean already. Cant wait to see more. Corey
01blueedge Posted July 30, 2012 Author Posted July 30, 2012 I got the body BMFed, chrome added and also added the white stirp down the bottom of rockers. I have also been working on the interior just a few more little details and I will post pics of the interior. heres the pics of the body
slusher Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 Black really looks good on that body style, very nice progress
01blueedge Posted August 4, 2012 Author Posted August 4, 2012 motor and interior are finished I still have to finish the exhaust and rear suspension and this one will be finished.
