Ace-Garageguy Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 (edited) First, THESE ARE NOT MY BUILDS. I got these cars a while back in with a bunch of stuff from ebay, thinking they were all gluebombs, and parts-cars. Apparently the builder's family was liquidating his model collection after his death. When I unpacked these two and saw just how nice the stance was, and the little touches like the radiused wheel wells on the '40, I didn't have the heart to cut them up or part them out. I thought it might be nice to post these two models on the forum in case he never got the appreciation he deserved, and also in case anyone recognizes them and can give them a name. Neither car has engine or suspension. The '49 is a Flintstone resin shell, and the '40 is AMT. Edited July 15, 2012 by Ace-Garageguy
JunkPile Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Nice introduction for the unknown modeler. There is a chance that our builds could, might, or will wind up in same situation one day. Keep them around to enjoy
Scuderia Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Very nicely done, and kind of you to post them up here. At least he'll get his due posthumously. Or her I suppose lol.
Austin T Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Someone should start a thread about things like this,I have a pretty insane 53 ford I got at a flea market and didn't have the heart to drop it in LA's because it was pretty cool.
