Very neat!

I used to own a 1:1 Focus wagon.

I agree, neat conversion. Works amazingly well w/the Focus body.

How's the new Civic?

Sad to see what Ford did to the '08 Focus. It's so out-of-focus it might as well be called the Escort.

That is a very clean conversion! Sometimes it's hard to make a hatchback into a convertible, but yours looks really sharp! B)

:lol:Ain't that the truth!! And they wonder why they're losing bucketloads of money!

We own a 2007 Focus XZ3 Steeda conversion, fun car . 155 h.p. at wheels, 2450 lbs., 6 speed,svt type suspension.....Fun Factor of 95. STILL WANT A U.S. 2 DOOR HARDTOP RWD Paul

IIRC, the Focus Coupe coming out WAS to originally be a no post 2 door hardtop..............of course the safety nazis probably nixed it and we're stuck with a IMO a bland post coupe whose styling just doesn't look right from certain angles unlike the hatchback. B)

If Daimler and a few others can make a pillarless coupe that meets the rollover standards................why can't the US ones??.......................Folding hardtop convertibles don't count.

For some strange reason (market poll?) American auto makers believe we don't want ANY type of hard top or FULL SIZE convertibles.Of course I would also like to pick my options in stead of a option package. "ya gotta take da JUKEBOX AND DA CIGARETTE MACHINE IF YA WANT DA SODA MACHINE" :D Paul

The Civic is doing just fine Bob. Just got 26 mpg on a half tank of gas. Considering that it's still pretty green (less than 500 miles on it), I think the mileage is just fine. Seeing as the Civic has an input for a MP3 player, I treated myself to a Creative Zen and I'm enjoying that as much as the Civic.

Ford is completely out of touch with the "new and improved" Focus. No wagon means no Focus for me. That and salesman who didn't wok very hard at trying to find me a '07 Focus wagon. I found more searching the 'net then they did.

Funny. we were either ignored or one dealer told us that they make no money on a Focus sale. We have a Ford dealer 3 miles from us and ened up going 45 miles away to a dealer that bent over backwards to get use our ZX3.In the overseas market Ford sells the car as a Convertible based on the Volvo ,a van, a wagon , a 3 door, a 4 door, a 5 door and all with a turbo diesel option and a 6 spped option. Europe is keeping the tradional Focus style ,we are getting the"improved " one.:lol::o
