cobraman Posted July 27, 2012 Posted July 27, 2012 I finished this up a little bit ago. Not terribly happy with it but don't think it's too bad. I didn't like the big headlights from the kit so I tried something different. I molded in some plastic tube and then put some Krystal Klear inside. ( still white but should dry clear ) I changed the tail lights and installed the rear spoiler. Lowered the front a bit but not the rear. I had other plans for this kit but early in the building I got tired of it and just wanted to get it done. It is what it is.
TooOld Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hey , it's under glass ! ! It looks pretty good ! I like the color combo and of course your engine turned out great . After watching your build I've thought about this kit alot . I'd have to compare it to building a 1:1 dune buggy after building cobra replicas for 20 years . It would get pushed into a corner due to lack of interest and collect dust and never get finished ! Congratulations on finishing yours . BOB .
rmvw guy Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 Hey it's "Under Glass" woopie!!!! Congratulations! The engine really did turn out great and the seats wake up the interior for sure. Success!!!!
Chromecop Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I really like the color and I guess I could like the headlight treatment, given some time. The Spoiler thou, looks a little out of proportion but, You did a good job and should be proud of it!
cobraman Posted July 28, 2012 Author Posted July 28, 2012 I have taken some time and I still don't like the headlights. You try some things and sometimes it pans out and other times it does not. This was one of the does not things. : )
Erik Smith Posted July 28, 2012 Posted July 28, 2012 I like the custom touches - never anything wrong with trying something new - too bad your not all that happy with the headlight treatment, I think it's cool. The engine turned out great. One thing that glares out to me is the front tires. They would benefit immensely from a little sanding of the tread - they are very noticeable on the Manx front end.
