I thought about posting this in the trivia section but since we want to purchase a second I figured I would start here first. I think it is from an older kit. Its a 2 piece derby type style header. What you have there is a header from the MPC Thunderwagon El Camino monster truck, that kit was even molded in yellow like your part. I don't have the kit or instructions but I do have the ERTL#6346 box that replaced the MPC#1-0453 box and the headers look different. It is not an actual photo but looks more like a artists rendition and you can't always trust the box art.
