Help identifying a thru the hood header

We have this piece that came with a kit. However we do not know what kit. I thought about posting this in the trivia section but since we want to purchase a second I figured I would start here first. I think it is from an older kit. Its a 2 piece derby type style header. Does anyone know what kit this part is from or better yet have one they want to sell.

It looks like it is from a pulling truck of some kind .And this is a guess .

You could ask for a resin caster for help if you can not find one .

is it 1/25 scale or 1/12 its from madmudder 4x4 pulling truck by revell or if its 1/12 scale 4x4 monster truck that revell did in the 80's

It is 1:25 and appears to be from Mad Mudder. Thanks for your help guys. Now does anyone have one?

Look at the tip, it's not from the Mad Mudder. What you have there is a header from the MPC Thunderwagon El Camino monster truck, that kit was even molded in yellow like your part.

I don't have the kit or instructions but I do have the ERTL#6346 box that replaced the MPC#1-0453 box and the headers look different. It is not an actual photo but looks more like a artists rendition and you can't always trust the box art.

The headers on the box lid look different but the piece in the first post is whats in the box. Here is a pic from ebay of a built Thunderwagon, click on it for a larger version.
