KHamilton Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 (edited) Long story short, I've been invited to exhibit several dioramas at an art gallery in Philadelphia during the month of September. One piece on exhibit will be the Playland Arcade, which I used on the announcement: There will be two "opening" receptions - one as part of Old City's "First Friday" activities, and another one the following Sunday afternoon (when parking spaces in the area will be easier of find): Both receptions (and the show) are open to the public and I cordially invite any of you guys who happen to be in Philly to drop in. Also on exhibit in September will be "hyper-realistic" paintings by my old art school friend Fred Danziger, who was really responsible for my show. Come on down if you can....! peter31a Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Congratulations, Ken! That is great and certainly well deserved as your dioramas are art expecially with your eye for detail.
Dr. Cranky Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Yes indeed, congratulations, Mr. Hamilton. This is a big deal because I believe (sooner rather than later) your work deserves to be shown in galleries and museums. I hope those of you who will make it there will see the mind-blowing beauty and details of a Ken Hamilton diorama.
peekay Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Fantastic! That's at least as realistic as any of the photo-realists' paintings - but in 3D. Sorry, can't make it but wish you well.
Art Anderson Posted July 29, 2012 Posted July 29, 2012 Will you be signing autographs at NNL East next April? Art
Danno Posted July 30, 2012 Posted July 30, 2012 Congratulations, Ken! Well earned and well deserved recognition for your artistic talent and accomplishments! Tell me you're going to have 'The Ambulance Chaser' on display for the world to see!
