cobraman Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 Since I joined this forum I never thought to check for PM's. I did check today because I was expecting one from a member I would be sending some parts to. Much to my surprise I found many messages that I never new were there. if you were one of those people I am truely sorry. I never meant to ignore or be rude. I will endever to check more often.
Harry P. Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 You can go in your preferences and set it so that every time you get a PM, it automatically pops up on the screen. There are all sorts of preferences you can control.
sjordan2 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 My preferences for PM are set to send them to my main e-mail inbox and to pop up when I access the forum. And I'm no forum or Internet expert. Also, check out the e-mail envelope icon at the right top of your pages. There will be a red box with a number telling you how many PMs you have.

And here I thought you were just being rude and ignoring me
sjordan2 Posted July 31, 2012 Posted July 31, 2012 (edited) Almost 1,500 posts and you're just now noticing you missed some messages!?!? What? Were you distracted by styrene or something? Ray, it's an easy mistake to make (if it can even be called a mistake...oversight maybe) when you join a new forum. Just look at all the newbies who completely miss the fact there's a rules page! I don't think that's necessarily a "rules" thing which is not intuitive, because it's not a prescribed "rule" that tells you what you can or cannot do. I think it's a "how to use the forum" thing, and it took me a really long time to discover it and how it works. Edited July 31, 2012 by sjordan2
