I have had this kit for a while and decided to do a detailed version of it and as a tribute to Carroll Shelby. 9ef30dae.jpg

I started today by opening up the deck lid. d475249c.jpg

Before I open up the doors, I would like suggestions from you guys on the easiest way to do it because I am using the exacto knife shown and it takes a while.

Get a second body(junker works well) and use just the doors from it. Cut the doors out small from the primary body and fit & file the donor doors to the primary body. Glue in some support strips to stiffen the body while removing the doors.

Thanks for the tip Mike :) but unfortunately I don't have a spare body. I did however open up the passenger side door with less problems than the deck lid and I didn't break anything!

I do still need to fine tune and clean up the gap.

It's been a while since my last update and I have slowly been working on the door and trunk gaps as well as filling in the sink holes and getting rid of the molding lines
