caapa Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 (edited) I`m an enthusiast of design studies, concepts and showcars. I would like to show my built ups in this theme in the next time.Chevrolet started to make a new Corvette-study in 1958. First it was a two tone blue hardtop. They replaced it with a convertible top in April and changed the body color to red in August. The final, revised version with longer and reshaped front came in 1960.The first two variants are scratch built from Matchbox #72 Corvette 1962. The final version is altered from an AMT Corvette 1962 Two in One kit and completed with vacuum formed windshild and double-bubble top, side pipes and schratch built wire wheels. Foxer Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Nice job. That bubble looks great! I remember that front end from seeing it in the mags back then and always liked it
Mike Kucaba Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Great work! Concept/dream cars are some of my favorites.
Danno Posted August 15, 2012 Posted August 15, 2012 Great builds! Terrific theme ... following the development of a specific, benchmark concept car. Thanks for sharing.
caapa Posted September 12, 2012 Author Posted September 12, 2012 Thank you for the nice opinions ! - midnightprowler: You have right ! That time when I built the model I had no BMF and later I didn`t dare to to try it on this model without any practice. Perhaps I shall do it some day.
Gluhead Posted September 12, 2012 Posted September 12, 2012 BMF is the shizzle, but so are those builds even without it. Nice work.
