while the front and rear ends have been fairly re worked, since its neither chopped nor sectioned it would still classify as "mildly" customized,

modified the grille by removing the center bar and fitted the 47 caddy grille from the revell 48 ford kit it its place. or i may use the grille from a 55 chevy cameo truck. still unsure, i also modifed the roll pan for use with the ugly ugly custom grille the kit comes with, to fit with the stock grille surround. and molded it in and filled the seams, same was done on the rear. the revell 48 allso donated its WWW's, and the revell 58 t bird donated the 3 bar spinner hubcaps.

it has also been nosed and decked. Colour will be ice blue pearl, which i think is a nissan colour (dupont chroma base)

interior flocked with model master flocking in 2 tone blue and beige.

Neat idea with the 47 Caddy grill. I've got a custom 51 in the works, and the grill is my big problem now. I need a 48-49 Chevy grill. I bought the 48 Ford hoping the Olds grill would work, but the Olds grill is too small. The body is mostly painted and done, so I don't want to do a lot of mods to get the Olds to fit.

I may try your idea.

ill say this the grille from the amt 55 cameo, fits like it was desinged for the kit. im still undecided as to which im going to use.

but feel free to use the caddy grill idea, it WILL require some trimming.

Thanks, I think I might dig out my Cameo kit. I don't mind the trimming, and I like the Caddy grille idea. I've got a few ideas now.

Nice start on the car.

a thought ocurred to me last night (thanks yoda) about the cameo grille... no turn signals.

Was hoping to have this painted tonight but i sense another 14 or 15 hour work day coming. So well see.

Ill probably finish up the engine at least.

its getting scallops, i just hane no idea what colour! right now theyve been sprayed in the candy base coat silver, i think some testors candy grape would looks good but im worried about the clear attacking the enamel. so i painted a spare body with the grape tonight and ill try clearing the spare tomorrow, hopefully itll work

otherwise....what colour? 2 tone blue? burgundy? leave em silver? any other thoughts?

Rather than silver, which I think would clash with the brown interior, I think dark blue with a lighter shade of gold (I'm thinking the shade of Tamiya Titanium Gold,) would work nicely.
