Eric S Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 After I recently built the re-issued Gremlin, I remembered how much fun the '70's kits are. This is the '76 Caprice, painted Testor's lacquer Fathom Green. The top and interior are painted with Testor's lacquer white vinyl top base. Please feel free to comment and add photos of your '70's full size cars. Thanks, Eric
Dominik Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Beautiful fullsize car Eric. Like this decade of Chevys.
Lunajammer Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 Good thing I opened the thumbnails in panel 1. At a glance I thought you were showing samples of the 1:1 that inspired the model photos. They're ALL models. Too bad the paint's not rubbed out, but your small details are impeccable. I might have to use these as references.
bbowser Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 Nice job Eric, welcome. If this is any indication I can't wait to see more of your work.
slusher Posted September 6, 2012 Posted September 6, 2012 You really did a nice job on this kit. Really sharp..
migace Posted September 7, 2012 Posted September 7, 2012 that looks awesome I love these cars! Very clean build!
Eric S Posted September 7, 2012 Author Posted September 7, 2012 Thank you everyone! I started to rub it out and realized I was way too stingy with the clear.
carchub Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 That thing looks nearly real! Really like stock builds like this, great work!
Daniel Lynch Posted September 15, 2012 Posted September 15, 2012 Very nice Chevy Eric, awesome model! Bravo!! Daniel
Antikainen Posted January 12, 2014 Posted January 12, 2014 Nice one indeed! I have two of these, newest releases with a trailer. Both of my kits have a warping issue on top of drivers side front fender where the fender meets a pillar. Small issue but difficult to fix. It looks like body has been still too warm when bagged in its plastic bag with interior and chassis. Anyway, nice kit and your model looks great!
