My friend and I are having a friendly build off. we each are building a 1950 chevy 3100... he has the advantage of many years of builds under his belt and I have only a few months...Iam going for a custome job where he is going for a stock look.... Anyway I can't decide on the motor so im asking for some opinions... the one to the right is a chevy 458ci I think and the other is a 1994 Corvette ZR-1.... What do you think???

I'd say the 458 c.i.d .... But I guess it would depend on what kind of look you were going for ... Hope to see the progress of your build , good luck in your friendly competition .

No doubt, the 458. I know it's a model, but there is nothing like the sound of a carb throttle wide open. Fuel injection just cant compare.

It depends on what kind of custom you are doing, a mild custom with old school wheels like Cragars or baby moons is just right for the 458. A modern custom with big wheels and a flashy color needs the ZR1 motor.
