Brudda Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I would like to buy a set of steel wheels for a 1:12 scale Revell 57 chevy. Anyone know where I can find some? Thank you for you help.
deja-view Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 You mean stock steel wheels from that era?
Brudda Posted October 2, 2012 Author Posted October 2, 2012 Yes Ken, Im new to this model stuff and stock wheels would be great!
deja-view Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 I just packed up my models for a move, but I think I can get at the '57 Chevys for a look. I'll pull out a set for you as soon as I can get back at 'em.
sjordan2 Posted October 2, 2012 Posted October 2, 2012 Is this what you're looking for? If not, 1/12 '57 Chevy parts show up now and then on eBay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Firestone-Tires-4-Stock-Wheels-1-12-Model-Car-Parts-Monogram-/350612864617?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item51a227be69
Casey Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 There are no common 1/12 kits with steel wheels. The Monogram '57 has full hubcaps, and neither the '69 Camaro nor '67 Vette have steel wheels. The closest thing you may find are the wheels from the 1/12 Gullwing Mercedes kit, molded in red and white IIRC. Entex, maybe?
Brudda Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Sorry for the long responce. There were family things going on.Ken that would be great. thanks Skip that is not what I am looking for .It would be a no hubcap ,just a steel wheel. Thanks for looking for me. Thanks Casey for the info. Thank all of you for the info.
deja-view Posted October 7, 2012 Posted October 7, 2012 LOL. No wonder I couldn't find them --- even looking in 4 boxes.
