gfranklin81 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 (edited) I've always wanted to build models, but I never thought that I could do it. So now I am trying to figure it out. I will post more pics as I make progress. I am planning to get back to it tonight. I currently have a rolling chassis, but I will be sure to get some pics on here tonight. Gluhead Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Welcome to the hobby, Greg. That's a great kit to start out with. You may want to search the forum for tips about the windshield...it can stand a little extra attention to get it to fit better.
gfranklin81 Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Thank you Gluhead, I will definitly have to check that out! Here are more photos of my progress. My attempt at 'salting' The final result looked okay, but next time I'll use larger pieces of salt Frame is finished Front detail Rear detail, I have now drilled a hole and painted the inside black Interior was flocked with embossing powder from Hobby Lobby. (Camera doesn't really pick up the detail)

Albie D Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Looks cool so far, but be careful, this hobby is darn addicting!
Shardik Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 Looks cool so far, but be careful, this hobby is darn addicting! Don't believe him! Why, I could stop any time I wanted...just as soon as I finish the three projects on my bench.... and the 47 models in my stash... maybe... as soon as I track down that elusive '37 Chevy... Ooh, is that a '49 Merc I see... Uh, maybe Albie has a point after all. Well, enjoy it anyway; you appear to have a knack. And welcome to the madness!
Edward Gore Posted September 22, 2012 Posted September 22, 2012 (edited) Hi Greg, Excellent progress. PUs are fun models to build. As Gluhead already mentioned, the glass on this model has a funky fit so when you get to that part just know that it isn't you. It's the model. It can be over come with patients edit: spelling Edited September 22, 2012 by Edward Gore
