dimebolt Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Thanks Ray. This is an old wip I have going from a couple years ago. Just got new windows for it, and so I'm continuing my progress. Will keep ya all posted. Will get some better pics of it, only had my old cell phone to use at the time they were taken. Corey
TooOld Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 That looks pretty cool ! I like what you've done for the exhaust . What kit is that ? It kinda looks like an old MPC Challenger .
dimebolt Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 (edited) Thanks Bob. It's the Revell 2n1 T/A-R/T. A ton of issues with this kit compared to the late 80's, early 90's release of the T/A. This one is based off of a diecast complete with metal axles front and back. I've made some changes to the front and rear suspension, as well as changed the motor, made headers and exhaust. Made new front wheel locating tabs, and narrowed rear end, and cut out wheel houses. Never built the MPC Challenger, but would like to give it a shot someday. Corey Edited September 19, 2012 by dimebolt

vintagedragfan Posted September 24, 2012 Posted September 24, 2012 the ol Hemi looks great in there Corey! love the black wrinkled valve covers
dimebolt Posted September 24, 2012 Author Posted September 24, 2012 Thanks Bill!!! I would love to find a set like the black with milled finish ribs. Like the 1:1 528 covers. Those things are so cool looking. Your piece is TRULY a work of art man!!! It really does from what I can see look like a real deal aluminum Hemi. Exellent craftsmanship. One of my next projects is going to be a triple black 71 Cuda'. But with some 'first timer photoetch' applied. Hopefully it turns out as good as my expectations for it are. It's gonna be a nasty looking pro streeter for sure. And Oh Yeah, Its GOTTA HEMI!!! Thanks again man. Many more years fantastic building!!! Corey
