Corey, did you make the exhaust and headers from solder? if so, what kind of solder did you use. i never tried to do it before, but i wanna give it a shot.

The headers are made from rosin core solder, and the rest of the exhaust is 100% silver solder. I dont know the gauge of either one as it doesn't say on the rolls anywhere. It's made by Oatey.

thanks corey, i made exhaust from rosin core stuff one time and had to remove it because the rosin in the center of it started runnin out of it.......thats why i never tried it again.. ill have to look for some silver solder!

yea i built a 67 chevelle, and after 6 months or so there was rosin comin out of my tail pipes.............bummer

Hopefully the collectors I made for the headers will "collect it" and not let it come out. Haven't seen anything on my other builds though.

Go for it! I really like the way they look also. They're heavy and awkward to work with, but well worth it I think.

I think they add alot to a build.

Im pretty happy the finished product. It would have been better built off of the T/A only kit. It actually has a better chassis/interior bucket design. Instead of the R/T-T/A version I have. It's based off of the diecast Vanishing Point model. And it shows in the overall build.
