fredo84 Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 I started last night to work on the inner front wheels .. i will post picture later... Thanks for comments and support ! Keep on Going !!
fredo84 Posted September 25, 2012 Author Posted September 25, 2012 Time to some Update .... Here comes the Untouched Inner fender( hope that's the right word... ) A view of the cleared fender... Both Cut and test-fitted... I don't have any styrene on hand ...so i Used some plastic card i have and made a "patron" with some thick paper for the part i need to close the inner fenders... Then cut it with scissor Then glued them on place... When the glue is cured i will mud them and sand it,I had the chance that i didn't have to cut the battery tray. I had to keep that L shape on the right one because of the 'Blower' that goes there... Keep comment flowing ...good or bad ...that's always people on the right track ! Thanks for watching ! Back to the bench ! F
fredo84 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 Thanks man ! I started to glue the engine together ... And try to figured out who i will lower the front .... More will follow tomorrow ! F
bryan_m Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 cool! make it drag the ground fred! lowering is pretty simple, unless youre gonna lay it all the way down on the ground, and make airbags n stuff. ive seen a few guys here make scratchbuilt frames and suspension, and they look awesome! keep `er goin bryan
fredo84 Posted September 26, 2012 Author Posted September 26, 2012 Here is the lower Arms Assembly.... I had to cut the arms and get rid of the middle because I couldn't get the height i wanted... Than i trim the arms and glue them in place.... Sorry it's not a fabulous scratch build but I'm happy how it turns out... Spindle and tie rod in place... Again i didn't wanted to cut all the frame so i ends up maybe the easy way...but i think it's a nice result... I sanded and primer the inner fender to see how it turns out ... I still have to touch it up a bit with mud and a bit of sanding... Thanks to pass buy and read me ! F
Randy D Posted September 26, 2012 Posted September 26, 2012 Hi Fred, Really like all the work you are putting into this!!! Keep going! Randy
fredo84 Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 Thanks for the comment Mate ! that keeps me motivated !! So i Bought an AMT65' Chevelle Superwagon ( i could do a review if someone is interested and if it's hasn't been done.....) And guess what was inside ??? Just the set up I wanted ..... Cragar (deep ring...!!) and thin white wall....
fredo84 Posted September 27, 2012 Author Posted September 27, 2012 I started also on the engine ....Drill hole for dip stick...and other stuff... Painted in satin green...witch change for the usual red ....and i read on the net somewhere that in the 1953 V8 Flathead came in Tangerine red or green...so .. Waitin'n now that the parts dry so I could start to assemble the engine ....
