Green Duster Posted September 27, 2012 Posted September 27, 2012 Hope you guys like. Lindberg L700 and an old trailer I traded for.
realgone58 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Awesome! I especially like the Duster and Satellite on the top! I need to find myself a set of those turbine wheel covers you got on your Satellite big time!!!
Casey Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 There is a forum issue with the "new" Model Trucks sub-sections when attachments are used to upload images.
Casey Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Yeah! Where did my Wedge hauler GO? The whole thread is GONE. Guess that isn't a BIG RIG or a car. No, it's not gone, it was moved to the correct section. Check your PMs, or see here how to find where it was moved to: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=61235&hl=
Mopar - D Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Brian nice work on your MOPAR transporter.
kyotey1693 Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Oh I see them now! That is cool. I've heard those trailers take a lot of patience to build. I've been trying to find a couple but cant justify 50+ dollars for one. Cool rig man!
Green Duster Posted September 29, 2012 Author Posted September 29, 2012 Got lucky on the trailer. Did some trading. Such a deal I got. The wheel on the Satellite came from the Open Road camper/ Racer back wedge kit. For the camper. Had to get 2 kits to do it. Used the wedge on the hauler in my other post in pick ups.
Wagoneer81 Posted September 29, 2012 Posted September 29, 2012 Nice combination! I have one of these trailers. It really wasn't that bad of a build. It just took a lot of patience and a LOT of masking tape to hold everything together while the glue set up. the most difficult part was painting it after assembly. I didn't paint the inner panels before and it was a beast to get paint into certain areas... Considering you get a place to display 4-5 cars, $50 isn't really a horrible price. Then again, I say this after picking mine up for $30... I'd really like to see this trailer kit reissued.
Green Duster Posted September 30, 2012 Author Posted September 30, 2012 Painted it all apart. Then put it all together with super glue. Worked great. I'm not really into big trucks. But I had the L700. Being a Mopar guy. I just had to find a trailer to show off some cars. Going to take it to a model show here in central Wi. next month. Don't expect to win, just show it off. I'll try to put cars from the early 70's on there. Got enough of them.
72 Charger Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Thats realy good that dodge truck is a good kit too . i have that trailer too I started to drill out all the holes in the deck im half way through got bored and put it away lol one day i will finish it Doobie
Mopar - D Posted October 16, 2012 Posted October 16, 2012 Doobie I believe that I had about 2752 holes not counting the 2 ramps. It took me about 15 hours to drill mine out by hand. In the end it was worth it.
kilrathy10 Posted November 2, 2012 Posted November 2, 2012 Very nice work...I'm still kicking myself for not getting one of these transporters when I had the chance....Looks good with the Dodge...
