chuckyr Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 I purchased this Peterbilt 362 after market kit from Australia about 5 or 6 years ago. Combined with the Monogram 1/16th scale Peterbilt 359 it appears to build in to a good model. I will build it eventually. I also have three 1/16th scale engines. A Cummins NTC 350/400, Detroit Diesel 8V92N and a Caterpillar 3406 T/A. What is the proper engine for a prototype 362.
chuckyr Posted August 14, 2007 Author Posted August 14, 2007 Good lord! That thing will be huge ! Tim Tim, what engine would be correct for thiis model?
Casey429 Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 The Cat or Cummins would be the more logical choice, as these were very popular. The 8v92 really wasn't. and I'm not even sure they found their way into the 362.
SpreadAxle Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Casey's right about engine choice. Where did you get that Cummins? I would love 2 find a 1/16 scale cummins. good luck with this one.
chuckyr Posted November 20, 2007 Author Posted November 20, 2007 (edited) For those that are interested, a 1/16th scale Detroit Diesel engine model is on eBay. Better hurry! Ebay or search 1:16th 8V92N resin engine kit. Edited November 20, 2007 by chuckyr
locoengr Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 ? "bump" means the topic is being 're-freshed' and brought back to the top of the page of the forum. It brings it back to peoples attention.... Hope I didn't totally screw up the deffinition!?
SpreadAxle Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 So have we any progress on this one? Which engine did you choose to use?
chuckyr Posted April 16, 2013 Author Posted April 16, 2013 I don't know if V8s were used in this model.
williamchevelleman1972 Posted April 16, 2013 Posted April 16, 2013 Are you going to make resin copies of those motors as im sure others wqould like to have some.
Mr mopar Posted April 20, 2013 Posted April 20, 2013 Clean up that cab add some detail and resin cast that cab that would be cool.
mackinac359 Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Odd, I never saw your question on the engine.. 362 could have any of the Cummins, Cats or Detroit of the day. V8's too. 362 was the solution to one-cab instead of 2 (352 and 352H) for the bigger engines and radiators. Tim
Mr mopar Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 Nice work on those big rigs ...........stacks look awesome!

kwtrucker Posted May 3, 2013 Posted May 3, 2013 (edited) Wow, it's been 20 years since Kuenn started his model building business! (Read that on his Facebook page.) He has built alot of nice models over the years, cool! Those 1/16th scale models cover alot of shelf space. Edited May 3, 2013 by kwtrucker
williamchevelleman1972 Posted May 18, 2013 Posted May 18, 2013 Any idea what your plans are for this 1/16 cabover? cant wait to see what you have in store after seeing your other models!
