png77 Posted October 3, 2012 Posted October 3, 2012 Hey everybody, New to the forum so be nice . I am currently undertaking the build of the Tamiya Ferrari Enzo 1/12 and though I would keep log of my process, Hopefully some of you guys will be interested. Will be taking some photos of where I am tomorrow andput them up. Cheers Paul
beeRS Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Hi Paul, I'd love to see how you're getting on with that. It's a project I'm working on too. A fantastic kit. Should make a fantastic model.
Chillyb1 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I've been waiting for this. Since the release of the kit I figured there would be a bunch of intrepid modelers out there to undertake the project. I am not among them, but I'm dying to see some of these. It is a very cool car and, if the 1/24 version is any indication, I'm sure the 1/12 kit is just mega-awesome.
jaydar Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 Paul, i will be very interested. i am still collecting bits of aftermarket as they come out for this one. joe.
sjordan2 Posted October 4, 2012 Posted October 4, 2012 I'm sure you're familiar with this current thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=64448&st=0
png77 Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 (edited) Hi, I am very familiar with David's work from this thread, but I thought you guys might be interested in how us mer mortials can do building it. So this is as far as I have got to date. Bearing in mind that I have a 2 year old that takes up alot of my time I feel as though things are going well at the moment. I will post in the 'finished Gallery the Ferrari 641 and Trumpeter GT40 I have recently finished. Paul Edited October 4, 2012 by png77
Geordi08 Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 I am just about ready to start on my kit, decided to go with Gialio Modena for a change, so looking forward to this one. I notice the clamps on the wires, which make are those? Robert
jaydar Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Paul, did you replace the bolts on the valve covers? if so what size did you use (TunerModel??). thanks, joe.
png77 Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Hi Everybody, Just a small update to where I am so far. Please excuse the rubbish photos, they were taken on my phone. Paul
png77 Posted October 12, 2012 Author Posted October 12, 2012 Sorry Joe, Only just realised you asked a question. Yes I replaced the valve cover bolts with stuff by 'Tuner model Manufactory', I get it all from a hobby store in the UK called Hiroboy. Paul B
