martinfan5 Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 I am doing this one for a second build off on Scale Aveune, and keeping them of 2012 model year cars and kit release's, so I am going build Aoshima's recent release of the 2012 Nissan R35 GTR kit, I love GTR's and the R35. I already have the paint and the wheels all pick out, but first let me share a pic of what I am thinking about doing, not sure if I am set on it yet
martinfan5 Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 I am going to do a spoon test to see what color of primer I am going to use, I normally use white for blue most of the time, but I have no idea with this color yet. I had the paint mixed up for me, it is a color choice for the GTR R35
martinfan5 Posted October 6, 2012 Author Posted October 6, 2012 Not a big update, well if I take some more pics It would be a little bit bigger, but engine is painted, and the some of the suspension bits are painted
martinfan5 Posted October 8, 2012 Author Posted October 8, 2012 Getting some work done on this one, here is what I have done so far chassis is all painted brakes and front and rear suspension piece's done I painted the lower trim first on the front and rear fasica and the body in color, it will get a a few more coats
lanesteele240 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Looks great. You should add some carbon decals where needed. My i suggest KAModels carbon sheet b. keep up the great build
carl63_99 Posted October 8, 2012 Posted October 8, 2012 Nice work! Mine is the Tamiya kit, which I chose not to add any PE stuff or CF decals. Not liking the colors available from the factory, I picked this Lexus color. I'll look forward to following this thread. C
martinfan5 Posted October 9, 2012 Author Posted October 9, 2012 Engine is done, just have some small details to paint working on the interior I decided to lower the suspension, with it having working suspension, it made easy, here is the stock ride height and the lowered height and the body with a few coats of clear
