'49 Mercury (not sled)

i found this kit in a box today, so i thought it would be a great project to go onto next. I am thinking a light blue colour with chrome trim. havent worked out wheels or engine yet. any ideas????? wanting to have trumpets up through the hood. Any advice as i build is more than welcome.

Its a good kit the boot lid wont fit properly so some work is needed there . Other than its great how about a gasser?

after annoying everyone around the house (family, visitors, the cat), it came down to 2 types of rims. i feel i am going with the 2nd set for what i want as a final finish.

if you're looking for more detail on the AMT kit you could combine the Revell Merc with the AMT.

i haven't done it myself yet but have compared the two Mercs and i don't think it would take too much to do it.

I have several of these kits.....(Some VERY OLD versions)..... I always liked this one..... you have a great start here....keep it going....!!!
