The Creative Explorer Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I started this project 2 days ago and what I wanted to do is to prep a couple of body's, so I don't have to paint body's throughout the winter. But this project went along so nicely, that I decided to work on it and I actually finished it in 3 days, a record for me really. I had no intention to make it with a satin finish, but as I went along, I decided it would look incredibly cool on this car, so I tried and it did look very nice. I am no fan of matte, satin or flat finishes, I need glossy! But this does look very nice. For the rest, the car is boxstock.
krazyglu Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 I do like the finish on this one, really looks aggresive on that car. Three days is nuts, I don't care who ya are
crazyjim Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Very nice. I'm trying to imagine it in SHINY :)
peter31a Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Saaweet! Love the satin look. Very well done model.
The Creative Explorer Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 Thanks guys! @Jim: I know you do hehe, but once you go flat, you never go back Although I do prefer shiny myself too.
Gluhead Posted October 21, 2012 Posted October 21, 2012 I love suede finishes. Deep glassy gloss is fine, but satin has the ability to bring the focus to the lines rather than the surfaces...and sometimes that's just what the doctor ordered. Cool color tone on this one...and ya gotta love those quick builds especially when they turn out this nice.
