Agent G Posted October 23, 2012 Posted October 23, 2012 I normally do not subscribe to the hysteria that prevails upon a new release. Witness my Hudson is still in the box one year later. But......I have been waiting for a 1949/50 Oldsmobile for so long now, when my kits arrived I dove right in. Obligatory engine pics. I do love this kit's engine! Here's my green of choice. (It's what I had on hand. ) First impressions are a mixed bag of "wow I like that" , to "why is there so much flash" and "why are there so many sink marks on a new tool?" And so it begins...................... G
Agent G Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 Thanks guys! I got the body polished up today and ready for BMF. Trouble is I start my work week tomorrow. G
Danno Posted November 7, 2012 Posted November 7, 2012 AAA with a gun? Oh, wait. That's highway patrol.
Agent G Posted November 7, 2012 Author Posted November 7, 2012 That's a clue detective........................................ G
slusher Posted November 8, 2012 Posted November 8, 2012 Your interior looks great really nice progress..
Agent G Posted November 8, 2012 Author Posted November 8, 2012 (edited) Thanks Carl. On a side note it really pays to browse the LHS when killing time. I found some Gundam parts that will more than suffice for the spotlights required in this build. This car had three mounted on the roof, two facing forward, the drivers side being red, and one facing rearward in amber. Additionally this set has some really really small clear lenses I need for a tank I'm currently building as well. Two birds with one stone, or shall I say one $15 bill (I bought two sets) I'll post pics as soon as I can. G Edited November 8, 2012 by Agent G
tooltas Posted November 9, 2012 Posted November 9, 2012 a super trooper, lolo i love this kit it looks like a cool one theres tons of way to built it.
Agent G Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Ok here she sits as of today. I took a break from building everything as work has been a bear. These are the Gundam parts I mentioned. I combined the lenses with one of my resin spotlight backs. And built these. G
Agent G Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Here's the body. and the interior, which is 99.5% finished. G
Danno Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Oooweeeee! "Headquarters to 21-50. Is Ponch with you?" :lol:
Ace-Garageguy Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Lovin' it. Kingman Az. has a GM-bodied early '50s police car preserved in a similar livery, if I remember right.
Danno Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 More like "Paunch" ! G LOL. Yeah, preachin' to the choir! I'm twice the man I used to be. {On the scale, anyway.}
Agent G Posted November 26, 2012 Author Posted November 26, 2012 Favorite movie line: Sgt to Edwards " if you were half the man that I am... " Edwards " Hey man, what are you talking about? I AM half the man that you are! " G
