The hood and cab need one more color added. The box still has two more colors to go.

kc7wzl, yes I did seal the tape after I masked it. But it and the krylon didn't get along.

So the hood and box are back in the pond for a week. The cab faired a little better.

As you can see there are some various size paint blowouts. But I can fix these.Once those are fixed I can start on the stripes with gel pens.

Thanx for lookin'

Jeremy.

Hopefully it goes well this time.If not I just might blow it up.Or turn it into a lowrider.

Looks great, good job sticking with it!

Nothing more maddening than having two different paint jobs not getting along, especially at the tail end of the process. I've had it happen to me while painting a $200 goalie-style catcher's mask... at the clear coat stage... after a day of detailed airbrush work.

Thanx I appreciate that.

Well it didn't go so well with the body.I talked it over with my friend who asked me to build this and he said to touck up the blow out and he's happy.

So I'm off to start touching up the blown out spots.

Love the truck! looking forward to the finished build.. I'd love to learn how to cast my own pieces, and make a long box, I have an 86 Chevy c10 and would love to have a model

I know this is an old thread...but where can you find the kit that you used to build this out of??? I have an 85 1:1 that I'd love to replicate.

Its the AMT '84 GMC that is slated to be re released sometime this year.
