Irvin Arter Jr. Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 I am not an Olds guy but; I bought one on a whim. Nice tooling minimal clean up on the body. I was missing a few trees on mine but, Revell send out my missing stuff promptly. I am using 57 Corvette wheels and tires with the "ARTERAKE" added Bob Dudek side pipes, Spots, shaved hood, trunk and doors. I don't like the way the fender trim spreads into the headlights so I shaved it back to looks like it stops on the fender. I also shaved off the taillight holes and will be using a small taillight on the rear. This will be a curbside car no motor. Thats it so far
bryan_m Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 (edited) i love the pipes and the spots! cant wait to see more of this one. cheers bryan Edited November 1, 2012 by bryan_m
Foxer Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 No motor! Now that's a new take on something with a magnificent mill! I like those wheels and Dudek pipes are SO right!
Draggon Posted November 1, 2012 Posted November 1, 2012 Great start Irv. The whites and caps, lakes pipes, and "rake" look great. Nice touch on the taillights too.

Irvin Arter Jr. Posted November 6, 2012 Author Posted November 6, 2012 update 11/5 I have the Olds in primer and I flaked the roof. I am not sure which way I am going. I am thinking black with silver flake roof with red and white tuck and roll enjoy!

1972coronet Posted November 6, 2012 Posted November 6, 2012 Loving your build more and more ! What kind --if any-- of detailling did you do to those gorgeous Corvette wheel covers ? From what I can see , it looks like a red outline (emulating a red-painted wheel underneath ?) and some dull painted recesses . Thanks !
