picked this up, and a can of paint.

Looks to be a nice kit.

Generaly I'm not a fan of them, but that thing shouts DONK.

Today was hobby Saturday. Went to a local show as a spectator and picked up three Monogram Sprint car kits for $25. All opened but sealed inside and complete. Pretty good deal. Then a stop at an Orlando hobby store and picked up the new Chi Town Hustler funny car kit along with three bottles of Alclad colors. Good hobby day.

Went down to Ohio and made two separate stops.

Stop #1 netted me these:

All the kits on the left column are still sealed, the '70 Boss and '70 Trans Am in the right column are sealed inside, the '68 Shelby GT500 might be sealed inside too, didn't check it yet. The other ones are started or partially built. Anyone know anything about the small '69 Torino and '69 Mustang? This Mustang is painted silver, but it's molded in a seafoam green plastic just like the Torino is. They look old, and I didn't find a maker on the chassis.

Stop #2 resulted in these:

Got these built ups from a really sweet old man, he was telling me how be built them all over last winter as his arm was healing from an injury. They are all brush painted and look to be pretty complete. I might go ahead and strip the paint from some of them and rebuild them.

Not a bad day if I do say so myself! B):)

well today is my birthday, i didn't get any plastics or any model kits, witch is ok with me since im in the process of moving, but i did get this:

X-acto no.73 deluxe pit kit (for tabletop racing cars)

100_2771.jpg

the only info i found on it was it was in a dec. 1962 mag forsale at $4.95! so i don't even know how old it is, or anything. its all original, and also a bonus old compass and lead tin that came in the kit (witch is not part of it, i know, but its still cool)

i thought i'd show off my cool old gift. and if anyone has any info on it, please pm me, thanks!

It came, it came, I finally have it, my MPC 1/16th scale "Blackbird turbocharged firebird" my early birthday present to myself, I have plans to pretty well make it as possibley realistic as I can, I'm even gonna get keith marks to do it's decals, and it's gonna have working lights, I just gotta get some grain of wheat bulbs and 6 volt switches.

It was factory sealed.

I also got my boat license in the mail and was able to throw away my temp card.

Got this at the hobby store, has a real solar panel but I got it for the Subaru Sambar.

It'll be a pit van with some spare tires and tools in the back. Mock up with Otaki SSR Star Shark with tires from the Aoshima Honda Beat.
