Geno Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) Where can I find the brake rotors and calipers like you guys us on your builds? They add so much realism to cars with the open wheel patterns. It just looks cool. Thanks, Geno. Edited November 20, 2012 by Geno
Scuderia Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 One common option is from Pegasys. If you do a google search there's a few online retailers that carry them as well as wheel/tyre sets. Some ebay sellers even have resin copies of some from kits. Some kits have them with slotted rotors as well and possibly you can scrounge some up or get hand me downs from another builders parts pile.
roadhawg Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 (edited) I belive our very own Crazy Jim casts some of those too. http://cybrarygoddess.com/crazyscaleautoparts/ Edited November 20, 2012 by roadhawg
Geno Posted November 20, 2012 Author Posted November 20, 2012 Thanks for the info guys, it is greatly appreciated.
Ramfins59 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I believe that both Model Car Garage and Detail Master sell photo-etched brake rotor sets.
Chuck Most Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 The aftermarket stuff is pretty good, but you can also make your own by robbing the rotor/caliper casting from a kit and making your own hub and wheel studs from pieces of styrene rod.
